New Home for Rose Window

The rose window that was in the wall of the Library facing the Gathering Area is headed for a new home. While the window itself is off site being cleaned by a stained glass expert, the new home for the window has been readied! The window will greet those who enter by the chapel door west of the sanctuary, and natural light will shine through the window during daytime events in the chapel.

Excellent to see this part of our dream become a reality!

The Parking Lot Is Complete!

It’s shiny and new! It’s all paved and painted! The parking lot is now complete and–tomorrow–ready to be driven and even parked on. The paving of the parking lot coincides with the repaving of the strip of 10th Street that we needed to dig up for our new water main (for the fire suppression system), so the street is open, parking is available, and we’re ready to welcome you!

Join the Fellowship of the Broom, Saturday 8/20, from 9 to Noon

We have several projects that will reach a critical juncture by Saturday, August 20: We can clean the nursery, youth room, and Commons in preparation for inspection and “turnover,” and we will have some final furniture components to disassemble and store so that demolition and reconstruction of the staff office can proceed. We’re hoping for our largest-yet work crew to make short work of these tasks from 9 a.m. to noon!

Can you help? Can you bring a friend? Two? We’ll have donuts! Please bring your favorite cleaning supplies, including for windows, and gloves if you prefer to wear them.

Contact the church office to volunteer, use this online sign-up form, or contact Lois Maassen. Join the Fellowship of the Broom (but we can use vacuum cleaners, too)!
